Thank you all for supporting Resources for Community Living’s 13th Annual Gala Benefit. I am very happy and proud to announce that this year over 250 of our supporters joined together to make our 13th Gala the most successful in our history. Two weeks prior to our Gala it did not look so positive, but you and all our dedicated volunteers rose to the challenge and succeeded beyond even my most positive expectations. This year’s revenues will help make up for the loss in State funding and sustain services to our 49 disabled participants over the coming year.

As local, state and federal governments continue to cut back, and with Illinois ranked 51st in developmental disability assistance, we will continue to rely on your support. Please plan to join us at our upcoming event May 19th at Francesca’s Tavola in Arlington Heights. Tell Francesca’s staff you are having lunch, dinner or carry out to benefit Resources for Community Living on May 19th and they will donate 20% of your bill to RCL.

Thank you again for your consideration and support.

Sincerely,
Robert Walsh, Psy.D.
Executive Director

Volunteers are the heartbeat of not for profit organizations and RCL is no exception. We have a core of volunteers comprised of families, clients and friends that have worked tirelessly over the years to make RCL what it is – an organization that truly makes a difference in the lives of challenged adults.

That's the good news; the bad news is that many of those volunteers are getting plum tuckered. Please consider this an appeal to all the families and friends – our RCL Community – take a more active role in this very worthwhile organization. One hour of participation is a wonderful contribution, as is 100 hours.

There are many opportunities for volunteering. So please call Anita Morse, our Volunteer Coordinator, at 847.533.3895 with an offer of whatever time you can devote.

Together we can make a difference and help RCL continue its vital work. So call Anita Morse, our Volunteer Coordinator, at 847.533.3895 with whatever time you can devote.
